How Much Money Can You Earn With Adsense

Google Adsense - How Much Can You Earn With Adsense

One of the most effective, easiest & lucrative ways to earn loads of money online is provided by Google's Adsense program.

Earn Money with Adsense

In fact many people earn their living from having Adsense on their websites.

Whilst this doesn't necessarily mean that you can go & put up a site, slap some Adsense ads on it & the money will start flowing, it is a solid way to start generating a sustainable online income.

There are thousands of ways to skin the Adsense cat but the white-hat, good original content approach is one that is used by many Adsense publishers to great effect.

However if you're thinking of embarking on a black-hat, get-rich-quick scheme, then you're so far behind the old successful Adsense publishers not to mention the fact that Google will probably catch & ban you anyway - so don't go that route if you want a successful long term Adsense earning plan.

So your plan should include posting good, compelling content & publishing relevant Adsense ads.

How to Earn $10,000 a Month From AdSense

If your goal is to make $10,000 a month from AdSense this would mean that you would have to make $328 a day.

On the face of it, this sounds like quite a steep target but broken down as follows it is entirely possible.

Therefore to earn $328 a day you could have any of the following scenarios;
  • 1 website with 328 pages which earn $1 a day each
  • 2 websites with 328 pages each which earn $0.50c a day each
  • 1 website with 656 pages which earn $0.50c a day each
  • 4 websites with only 41 pages each which earn $2 a day each
  • 1 website with 1312 pages which earn $0.25c a day each
To earn $1 a day per page, in terms of traffic & CTR, you need any of the following;
  • 400 visitors at a 5% CTR (Click Through Rate) with a 5c earnings per click
  • 200 visitors at a 10% CTR with a 5c earnings per click
  • 100 visitors at a 10% CTR, with a 10c earnings per click
  • 100 visitors at a 5% CTR, with a 20c earnings per click
  • 26 visitors at a 15% CTR, with a 25c earnings per click
Naturally traffic volume is a key component to reaching your Adsense revenue target, but it's a good idea to concentrate on improving your CTR & the CPC so that when the traffic comes it will convert into more clicks and more money for you.

Notwithstanding the above, let's have a look at the factors that will impact on the amount you can earn from Adsense...

5 Factors That Will Influence Your Adsense Earnings

  1. Topic or Niche

The theme, niche or topic of your website will affect the type of ads that Google serves up & therefore the earnings per click.

For instance ads on a website all about webhosting will normally generate more revenue per click than ads on a nature website.

The trade off however, is that the webhosting niche is highly competitive & it would be difficult to rank highly in the SERPs (Search Engine Ranking Pages) for useful & popular keywords - so ideally, you need to choose a high paying niche without too much competition.

This means that your site may be down in the bowels of the Google pages & therefore get little traffic, so it is advisable to do your research before choosing your niche.

  2. Original & Compelling Content

Build your website with lots of compelling & interesting content to ensure site popularity & good traffic.

With good original content, your site will establish a certain amount of online credibility with your site visitors as well as search engines.

  3. Traffic

Even if your site is in a high paying Adsense niche your earnings won't amount to much if you don't have traffic.

On the other hand if you have hoards of traffic to a niche that is so unpopular that there aren't any Adsense advertisers for Google to serve up ads, your earnings will still be zero.

Furthermore targeted traffic is what is needed as untargeted traffic will not help as the site visitors are unlikely to be interested in your website's topic and therefore won't be interested in clicking the Google related ads.

  4. Number of Websites

If you're generating a few dollars a day from 1 website why not set up another in a different niche - you could double you earnings in a short space of time.

So the sooner you get a number of sites up, the more chance you will have of earning a decent Adsense income in the months or years in the future.

Just one thing though, don't build sites made for Adsense - rather build sites based on a certain topic, of which you should have a certain amount of expertise & knowledge, get them established & then monetize them with Adsense.

  5. Adsense Optimization

If your site visitors don't click your ads it won't matter how much traffic you have as you won't be earning anything, so to ensure that this doesn't happen your site's ads need to be correctly optimized to increase your CTR.

To this end the Google Adsense program gives its publishers the option of various size & color of advertisements so that you can optimize your ads to blend in with your website's theme in terms of the colors & size.

However, be sure to keep abreast with Google's Adsense policies as one of Google's latest policies state that Adsense publishers should not "format site content so that it is difficult to distinguish it from ads", which puts the blending issue into question.

So if you are unsure of anything just visit Google AdSense Program Policies »

    Or Google's Webmaster Guidelines »

The positioning of the ads also has a marked effect on the CTR (Click through rate) - ads placed above the fold (viewable on the screen without having to scroll down) are more likely to get clicked on than those below the fold.

Also the 336x280 sized content ads are said to be the most effective size ads.

So to maximize your Adsense earning potential you need to get the above factors working for you & you will have every chance of reaching your goals.
